How To Prepare before Your Appointment

Bringing the right documents and information ensures our specialists can provide the most accurate recommendations and saves you time during your visit. Here’s how you can get ready:

  • Bring all relevant paperwork and reports from previous doctors, hospitals, or diagnostic centers.
  • Provide a complete list of all prescribed and over-the-counter medicines, Vitamins & supplements, or herbal remedies. Any known drug or food allergies and the type of reaction.
  • Note Down Your Symptoms & Concerns. When your symptoms started and how they’ve changed over time. Any pain, discomfort, or unusual changes in your body
  • Bring a Support Person (Optional, but recommended) Having a trusted family member or friend with you can offer emotional support and help remember details from the discussion.

Before the Kiria-Ini Cancer Centre opened, I had to travel to Nairobi every week for chemotherapy. The cost of transport and accommodation was too much for my family. Now, I receive treatment here at no extra cost—only the SHA scheme covers everything. I am so grateful! But we still suffer because radiotherapy and PET scans are not available here.
